In my estimation, a good definition of “a true friend” is: “one who is willing to risk who they are in order to to engage who I am!”
The hymn writer penned these words: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus!” Think about what Jesus was willing to do. He was willing to risk all that He was, in order to engage who we were — that we might become like He is! Wow!
