Because You Rescued Me

You, Lord God, are my mighty rock and my fortress. Lead me and guide me, so that your name will be honored. Protect me from hidden traps and keep me safe. You are faithful, and I trust you because you rescued me.

Father, to a large degree I feel like that today. I feel like I’ve been in a pit of desperation…a pit of confusion…and that You have allowed me to be there. But now, I feel like You’ve lifted me out…that You have reached down from on high and pulled me up on to firm footing…up where the sun shines…up where I can run and be free. And there is a great joy in my heart knowing that You rescued me because You delight in me! What great love You extend to me!
