This morning at our community's yearly prayer breakfast, a policeman stood at the microphone and offered to Almighty God a powerful prayer of intercession. Yes, in full uniform, Officer Tristian Jackson represented the law enforcement agencies of our area by pleading before God these touching words:
Lord, give redemption to the offenders and healing to the victims.
While the words were simple, the word-picture of a man of the law offering this petition profoundly pierced my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
What is your simple yet profound prayer today?
