Light and Shadow

A few years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, I heard David Crowder and Lecrea sing what was a new song then, titled “Shadows”. I remember it ministered so deeply to me personally that I shared some of the lyrics on a Sunday message at our local church shortly after.

Before becoming a pastor, my profession was photography. In other words, I made my living finding a pleasing balance between light and shadow.

Then, when I became a pastor, once again my calling was to help others navigate life between light and shadow.

Below, I’d like to post two items: one will be the link to the Crowder and Lecrea Song, and the second is a photograph I took this past weekend in North Carolina at dusk. The combination of radiant, evening light and approaching shadow of night touched me deeply.

I pray as you make your way through this world, both light and shadow will point you to The One Who is Light and Who can get us beyond life’s shadows. Yes. Jesus.

Presence Matters Most!
That is... Presence. Unity. Souls. Love.

John 14:6 came to my mind as I pondered your picture. The road (way)stood out to me-took me quite a while to even notice the homes and cars. Truth on the left by the tree and life at the end between the 2 lights. Thank you and Him!
