So i Pray, Still...
Our world is in chaos, so i pray, still.
Evil seems to be having its way, so i pray, still.
Many are only concerned about themselves, so i pray, still.
These days are unusual when compared to the rest of the days of my life, so i pray, still.
God had the first word, He will have the last word, and i believe He will have the next word, so i pray, still.
Too many seem not to care about what God cares about, so i pray, still.
i know God’s promises will prevail, so i pray, still.
i belong exclusively to God my Father, so i pray, still.
God the Son is still my King of Kings and Lord of Lords, so i pray, still..
The Holy Spirit still speaks to my soul, so i pray, still.
i am called to be the light of the world, so i pray, still.
In the Name of the One called Wonderful, Jesus of Nazareth, surely, i pray, still. Amen.

My dear, 15-year-old friend in Christ, Miss Jasmine Griffin, wrote this beautiful devotional today titled “Purpose.” I have known Jasmine since she was two years old and was her pastor for about 12 years. Yes, I’m sanctified proud of her. Humbled and grateful, too.

The [Strong] City of God — The Eternal Rock
These words from the old testament prophet, Isaiah, lit my heart on fire this morning. I pray these words will also give to you reassurance, even peace deeper than ever.
"In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord GOD is the eternal Rock. He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust." Isaiah 26:1-5 NLT
Lord, I pray, that I will do the trusting because surely you will bring the peace. Let the anchor of my life be securely locked onto You, The Eternal Rock. Amen.
