I have given all of myself, all of the time, because that’s what my Lord is worthy of. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the undeniable seasons of rest He has so graciously offered me along the way.
People who forget or neglect to unplug in life are more likely to come unglued at life. When was the last time you fell asleep on the couch in the middle of the day and didn’t even feel guilty about it? Well, I did that just a few hours ago. Indeed, I am so grateful for rest.
Resting is akin to waiting on God. Sadly, in these days we exist in, living lives that include resting and waiting is not very valued. Still, both are very valuable, especially for Jesus-believers. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said: “Come to Me and I will give you rest!”
Pasted below is an Instagram I posted this week — a photo and a writing about waiting on God — yes, resting in God’s timing and the life-rhythm of His choosing. I think it’s important enough to repeat it here on my blog, today.

Just noticed that the horse is surrounded with crosses. On the over-urgent path it's taking, it seems as though it have to run right through some. Very symbolic! Thanks, Pastor Kerry.
Good observation. The way of the cross leads home.
