Nine Eleven

On the eleventh day of the ninth month in the year, 2001, terrorism raised its evil and ugly head on the shores of America the Beautiful.

Who would have ever believed that on a September Tuesday morning, madmen would take our commercial jet airliners and turn them into flying hell-fire bombs in an attempt to frighten and destroy us? Yet, that's exactly what they did.

Each year on the anniversary of 9/11/2001, we rewatch the devastating video footage from New York City, Washington, D.C. and the rural countryside of Pennsylvania. Our hearts break again.

Even though much time has passed, it still hurts deeply. On my Instagram thread today, I posted a photo of an old church mourner's bench. It seemed to help my soul, knowing that mourning the loss of so many lost lives on that dark day still seems right. Surely, Jesus wept on Nine Eleven and without doubt, He still weeps.

Let us pray! Lord have mercy. Save our country and the world from everything the devil desires for us. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Here's the old mourner's bench photo I referenced:
