Evening Shadows

Psalm 102 (NLT) contains nine sobering words for my own soul, in verse 11:

"My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows."

But then in verse 12, ten splendid words emerge:

"But You, O LORD, will sit on Your throne forever." 

I am so humbled and grateful in knowing that my temporary earthly life has found oneness and assurance in Your permanent eternal life, my God.
