It seems this week, the Lord has been whispering these words to my inner being: Expect persecutions, life is hard. Anticipate celebrations, harvest will come.
In other words, expect temporary troubles to come. But after that make no doubt about it, because eternal celebration will indeed happen as lost souls find their Way in Christ..
This verse has been encouraging me this week as well:
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
-- Psalm 30:5 (KJV)
And this verse of the holy hymn, Amazing Grace, convinces me to carry on until the celebration is realization:
Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was
Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

As believers we should never lose the “great expectations” of our faith especially since the greatest expectation is yet to come, that being the return of our Lord and Savior. Until that day it remains for us to balance our expectations with the reality of living as sojourners in this world.
Amen. We are pilgrims on our way Home. Hallelujah!
