Hurt People?

Hurt people? Hurt people.

(7) Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get a smart retort. Anyone who rebukes the wicked will get hurt. (8) So don’t bother rebuking mockers; they will only hate you. But the wise, when rebuked, will love you all the more. -- Proverbs 9:7-8 (NLT)

IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

When someone hurts, shuns or betrays us, they have really done it to Christ in us. One translation of the above verse reads,

“Whatever you do…you have done it unto Me.”

Thanks for those words. Matthew 5:11-12 (TLB)has been on heart since the early morning hours today: -- (11) “When you are reviled and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers—wonderful! (12) Be happy about it! Be very glad! for a tremendous reward awaits you up in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted too.

I think about this a lot when I think what is the difference between a Christian and a person trying to do good things. In some ways there isn't a difference we're all sinners and w/o Christ we are nothing, but having Christ and through Christ I think we can be different.

It's in this love of those the world deem unlovable or undeserving of love because of their actions or how they hurt you or others.

"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them." Luke 6:32

thanks for reminder!

Let's let HIS LOVE flow through us to others.
