Today, Saturday, has been a good day of unwinding with a few family and a few friends -- pure inspiration. We were up before dawn and driving over the Allegheny Mountains of Virginia into Highland County for the Annual Maple Festival.
As I reflect on the day that's nearly past, this song by the late and great voice of Eva Cassidy surely speaks more beautifully to me than anything I can think of writing myself. I think the song at the link below will touch your heart. Listen to this classic, live recording from the 1990s.... all the way to the end.

P.S. Thanks Pastor Joseph for telling me about this great voice from the past.

God Did Not Abandon Us!
For we were slaves, but in His unfailing love our God did not abandon us in our slavery.
-- Ezra 9:9 (GNT)
Yesterday, we had a 5.9 registered earthquake in Virginia that was felt across the east coast of the USA. It's the most powerful earthquake in these parts in over 100 years. While it was a time of helpless uncertainty for humanity here, we escaped with no loss of life and little damage. Could such a timely tremor be tied to God's immediate nudgings, so we will turn totally to Him to avoid His ultimate judgings?
Hurricane Irene is also headed towards the east coast of the USA with landfall expected Saturday. We need You, God! We want You, God! We love You, God! Because in Your unfailing Love, You first Loved us. In Jesus' Name, You will not abandon us. Give us hearts abandoned totally to You. Amen.
Holiness Unto the LORD!
Grateful

Autumn Applause For An Awesome Creator
Today, I was blessed to ride a friend's four-wheeler through the mountains that connect Virginia and West Virginia. It was an amazing experience to see the seasons changing as the setting sun provided a golden heavenly light on the breath-taking fall foliage. If the autumn colors do not confirm that we have an Awesome Creator, I don't know what does! It was apparent to me that the marvelous mountains and the brilliant trees were united in glorious singing and adoring applause for our Almighty God.
The mountains and hills will burst into song and the trees of the field will clap their hands! -- Isaiah 55:12 (NLT)
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.
Grateful
