This morning I remembered deeply my dear, pastor-friend, Ed, from Chicago area who went rather suddenly to be with Jesus a few years ago. He had been suffering some health challenges and towards the end of his life whenever he would talk to me or text me he would always conclude the conversation by saying four words: "Love You. Need You."
While Ed was saying those words to me, I have zero doubt he was first and foremost praying those words to our Lord Jesus. Ed and I were long-distance prayer partners for years. Sometimes, like this morning, I have this tender thought that I would love to just talk to Ed, again. One day I will.
Until then, I cry out to Jesus myself in that personal and vulnerable, four-one-syllable-word — simple, yet profound — prayer my beloved prayer partner taught me: "Love You. Need You."
Presence Matters Most!
That is... Prayer. Unity. Souls. Love.
