This online story about a teen surfer who was rescued from drowning in the ocean by "A Mystery Man" is heart-warming. "The Mystery Man" was located and said this in the closing of the video, "God just put me there..." Inspiring, indeed!
I think you'll also agree that the tear-filled words of the teen rescued are equally inspiring. Watch and listen carefully.

We are not called to be guardian angels, but God does call us to rescue the perishing and to care for the dying. Are we "Rescuing the Perishing" where God has put us?
Here below are the lyrics of a hallowed hymn of the church:
Rescue the Perishing
Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915
William H. Doane, 1832-1915
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o'er the erring one, Lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus the Mighty to save.
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.
Tho' they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
waiting the penitent child to receive.
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.
Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
feelings lie buried that grace can restore.
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
chords that are broken will vibrate once more.
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.
Rescue the perishing, Duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide.
Back to the narrow way patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand'rer a Savior has died.
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.
Grateful
