Forever?

I challenge you to come up with a definition for the word forever. It will be a frustrating but inspiring experience if the Lord is Your Good Shepherd.

Psalm 23:6 (TLB) -- Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with You forever in your home.

IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

My favorite...especially in the context of Psalm 23..."abiding without pause"

Wonderful definition....

I once heard someone say that if the earth were made of iron, and once every century, a bird flew by and touched it with the tip of its wing, when that bird had worn away the entire earth by doing so, eternity (or forever) would have just begun.

That reminds me of Amazing Grace...when we've been there ten thousand years, we've only "just begun".
Forever gets a bad rap sometimes in that people think of the mundane...over and over. But the idea of just begun helps me... Continual state of "just begun"(newness).

I like the ones mentioned above a lot, but when I read your challenge it made me think of "at all times". No whatever what I'm going through or where I am He is with me, at all times.

Forever God is faithful
Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us
Forever

I get to spend all time(s) with Him, it is a plural "continual state of newness" not mundane / repetitive.

Wow. And thanks to all of you. You are helping my heart to find new courage -- encouragement for sure. Yes, encouragment for forever and ever and ever and ever... how long is that? :-)

My friend, Rob, sent this wonderful comment to my e-mail:

"So is forever really a measure of time? One month, one year, one millennium, are all measures of time, but I suggest that forever is not actually a measure of time but of love."

I say "WOW!"

Amen. The hebrew word for "ever" is omek(I think) which means length...
How long and how wide and how deep and how high is the LOVE of Christ!!!

Like I said, a somewhat frustrating but surely INSPIRING exercise!
