Good News: Just Trust the Divine Design!

Need Good News for today? Here is what has been on my heart recently:

Rest assured that our Good God engineers the circumstances in our lives.
If we will Just Trust Him totally today, we will one day see the divine design He's had in mind...
...from the very beginning of time...
(actually, even before time began.)

Fully Trust Without Fully Understanding

Proverbs 3, verses 5 and 6 have been chasing my heart for many years, but in the last few months the Lord has absolutely been using Proverbs 3:5 to tell me what He totally expects from me as a fully devoted believer in His Name. Hear the verse, then I'll explain further:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
--Proverbs 3:5 (NLT)

In light of these words, the Lord is telling me to fully trust in Him and His Goodness, even when, especially when, I cannot fully understand what's going on and what He's up to.

So I pray: Loving Lord, I want to be a believer who fully trusts in You and Your ways, especially when I have no idea what's happening. I want to be willing to wait for Your revelation in every situation of life. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Best Advice Ever

I was recently surfing the website of a college baseball team. One of the freshman players is a new friend of mine. I eventually found his personal profile page. While the whole page glorifies God, one question in the interview section especially touched my heart. When the young ball player was asked to share the best advice he had ever been given, he simply but profoundly answered: Proverbs 3:5-6. WOW! What an awesome answer!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) (5) Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (6) Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths.

Today, consider yourself a recipient of the best advice ever. (According to a 19-year-old baseball catcher named Billy, who also happens to have a great heart for God.)
