Day 3 -- Holy Land 11th Journey

Tucker and Steve -- Dad and son in the light as Jesus is in the light.

Well, Day 3 and The Lord just keeps making our discipleship journey more and more delightful.

Today, we headed north to Mt. Hermon to recall the story in Matthew 16 of Jesus and His disciples at Caesarea Philippi. Yes, right at the place known to locals as "the gates of hell" Jesus declared: "I will build my church and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."

Also, at Mt. Hermon, we recounted our Lord's Transfiguration and passed through the Valley of Lebanon remembering Joshua 11 and how God continued to give the Promised Land to His people.

On our way down, we drove to the breath-taking overlook to view the area where three countries intersect -- Lebanon, Syria, and Israel.

Next we visited Capernum remembering the Galilee ministry of Jesus with the compassionate story of Jesus healing the paralytic (Mark 2:1-12).

We had lunch in a roadside diner along the lake and then proceeded to the Mount of Beatitudes. As always, The Lord met us mightily in the walking descent as we leaned into Matthew 5, 6, and 7 -- The Sermon on the Mount.

Finally, we visited the shores where the Resurrected Jesus surprised His disciples. It is the John 21 encounter where Jesus said to Peter: "Love Me? Feed My sheep."

Thanks for your prayers. All is well. Christ is with us and within us as we walk together where He once walked.

Grateful
