The more we study and to try to practice the grace of intercession, the more we feel overwhelmed by its greatness and our weakness.
-- Andrew Murray
But He (The Lord) told me: “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me.
-- The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (GWT)
Prayer Can Be Overwhelming. Pray Anyway.

A Sacredness in Tears
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love.

Mainly Standing or Merely Fighting?
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
-- Ephesians 6:13 (NIV)
So which will it be? Will we mainly stand in His strength or merely fight in our weakness? Will we mainly stand firm in His armor or merely flail to no avail in our own?
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

When Our Strength Is Gone?
This song from years past is on my mind today. The artist who sang the song was Stephen Curtis Chapman:

I can do all things, through Christ who gives me strength.
But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me?
No great success to show, no glory on my own.
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know.
His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.
Raised in His power, the weak become strong.
His strength is perfect. His strength is perfect.
We can only know, the power that He holds,
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes.
His strength in us begins, where ours comes to an end.
He hears our humble cry and proves again.
His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on.
Raised in His power, the weak become strong.
His strength is perfect. His strength is perfect.
Indeed, when our strength is gone, we can still carry on because of the strength of Christ in us (Col. 1:27b). He carries us from within!
ALL JOY!

Are You Weak? He is Strong!
I've come to realize that whatever spiritual independence is, it is not strength. In fact, I know that spiritual independence is in reality weakness in denial. We must not deny that we need God and each other. We especially need God.
Spiritual independence is the entry way to spiritual suicide. Spiritual Independence properly defined is self-centered ego, yes, the very essence of sin. And Romans 6:23 (NKJV) warns us with these 6 words: ...the wages of sin (spiritual independence) is death.
Actually, the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:3 might be properly paraphrased like this: Blessed are (the poor in spirit) those who admit they are spiritually dependent upon the Lord.
2 Corinthians 12:10 (NLT) ends with this declaration of spiritual dependency on God: For when I am weak, then I am strong. In other words, if I declare rather than deny that I am weak, I confess spiritual dependence on God and His strength becomes mine.
The "Jesus Loves Me" children's song says it best:
Little ones to Him belong; they are weak but HE is strong!
And another songwriter said it this way: His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.
Good news! Are You Weak? He is Strong!
In 7 words? Turn from sin. Turn to Him. Totally.
ALL JOY!
