Jesus Always Lives to Make Intercession

(23) The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office; (24) but He (JESUS, OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST) holds His priesthood permanently, because He continues forever. (25) Consequently He is able for all time to save those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (26) For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (27) He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for His own sins and then for those of the people; He did this once for all when He offered up Himself. -- Hebrews 7:23-27 (RSV)

He Cries When You Cry

John 11:32-35 (NLT) -- (32) Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (33) Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. (34) And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” (35) Jesus wept. (36) Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”

I remind you of a song written by a Gospel piano man named Mr. Ross. The encouraging words are engraved in my mind. I pray you will be blessed by them as well:

Just remember Jesus cares. He cries when you cry.
And He pleads your case, to the Father up on high.
Place your trust in Him today. For there is no other Way.
And remember Jesus cares. Just remember Jesus cares.

The Real Lord's Prayer

My most cherished passage in the Holy Scriptures has to be, without doubt, John 17. (Now, what we commonly refer to as "The Lord's Prayer" in my opinion is actually "The Disciple's Prayer" taught to us by the Lord. You know, it's in Matthew 6, and begins with "Our Father Who Art in Heaven...") However, "The Real Lord's Prayer" has to be "His High Priestly Prayer" recorded in John 17. If you haven't read it lately, I highly recommend that you consider reading it.

Here are a few verses just to heighten your hunger and thirst to read and saturate in the whole prayer of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ: Jesus is praying to the Father shortly before being crucified. Here's a portion of "The Real Lord's Prayer" -- John 17:19-23 (NIV)

(19) For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. (20) My prayer is not for them (the original disciples) alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, (21) that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (22) I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: (23) I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
