Pondering These Words From Revelation 13 [Hard Times, End Times]

In my Scripture saturation time this morning, several passages penetrated my being from various directions. Finally, i am pondering these words from Revelation 13…

“If anyone has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is destined for captivity, he will go into captivity; if anyone kills with a sword, he must be killed with a sword. Here is [the call for] the patient endurance and the faithfulness of the saints [which is seen in the response of God’s people to difficult times].” Revelation‬ ‭13:9-10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

These days seem to be overflowing with hard times that could surely be related to end times. Nevertheless, i am comforted in knowing that my part is to patiently endure and to remain faithful. And because Jesus is present, i am not alone in performing this…

“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.”Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

With gladness.
