Jesus Disturbs Sin’s "Peace"

May Brother Oswald Chambers’ very deep and somewhat troubling words lead us to the PEACE the Lord wants us to have.

"Sometimes we forget that the carnal [the sin-principled, self-centered] heart of people is at peace. [*Psalm 73 pictures the wicked person from God’s standpoint.] Such a person is happy, peaceful, contented, and not bothered about the future.

Luke 11 says this world is ‘the palace’ of the Devil. Yes, and he lives in his palace, this world.

Undisturbed peace is a person’s life may be a sign of Satan’s rule, as well as, of God’s rule. This is but another way in which the Devil is an imitator of God.

The disposition of darkness (sin) keeps one happy, peaceful, and undisturbed UNTIL meeting Jesus. Then one is pained. A sign of life is pain when you learn you are wrong.

The Gospel is hid from those who are lost (2 Cor. 4:3), and they feel they are all right. But Jesus is the disturber of sinful people. When He disturbs us, He offers deliverance from the dark disposition of sin."

And so i humbly and confidently pray:

Lord Jesus, disturb any peace within me that is not of You. Don’t allow me to have the peace of sin the Devil wants to give me. Give me the PEACE You want me to have and the PEACE You know i need. i am forever grateful for the deliverance from sin that is mine by Your shed blood on Calvary’s Tree. In Your Holy Name, i pray. Amen. -kww

"For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else. They wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty. These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for! They scoff and speak only evil; in their pride they seek to crush others. They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut throughout the earth. And so the people are dismayed and confused, drinking in all their words. "What does God know?" they ask. "Does the Most High even know what’s happening?" Look at these wicked people-- enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply."‬‬

* Extra: Psalm 73:3-12 [NLT] -- The Wicked Person at "Peace":

[THE MOST HIGH KNOWS AND WILL DISTURB WICKED PEACE. -kww]
