My Christmastime Prayer to King Jesus

As Christmastime is now about to make its approach, i find myself praying...

Dearest the Only One Called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace -- King Jesus:

As we remember Your vulnerable arrival to planet earth some 2,000 years ago, please know we are debtors to You and Your mission to seek and to save those who were lost, which surely included us all, even me.

Your coming was truly about rescue, about redemption, yes, about a radical romance to put our rebellious souls back in right relationship with God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, One.

You came as a Baby King. You came humbly to make Yourself as holy irresistible as possible. Afterall, who doesn’t love a baby?

The angels announced Your arrival. The shepherds rejoiced in Your coming. The Magi worshipped on pilgrimage after finding themselves in Your presence. And Your virgin Mother, Mary of Nazareth, treasured the whole divine event deep within her heart.

So, King Jesus, we are so very grateful that Father God so loved the world that He gave You, His one and only beloved Son, to be born near Bethlehem’s shepherd fields as the Lamb Who would take away the sin that would have otherwise separated us from our compassionate Creator, for forever.

Indeed, King Jesus, You were born in the Town of David to die in the city that killed the prophets -- Jerusalem. At your birth You were wrapped in swaddling cloths and placed in a manger, a feeding trough. At Your death You were beaten and stripped and nailed to a Roman Cross, to become the Bread of Life.

Your love is amazing, King Jesus. Help us to love You back in every season of our lives and especially during this sacred season of light.

With every present wrapped and unwrapped, with every Christmas tree raised, with every wreath of greenery hung, with every shiny decoration placed, and with every joy-filled song that is sung, remind us that it all points to Your miraculous Birth, the Greatest reason to celebrate on Planet Earth. (It’s true that You are the Season and we are the Reason.)

Finally, our grateful hearts proclaim:

ALL IS WELL! GO AND TELL! IMMANUEL!

Yes, King Jesus, because You left Your Throne, we will never again be left alone. HALLELUJAH! HOLY CHRISTMAS! AMEN!

P.S. and King Jesus, we know Easter’s Coming! Unless, of course, Your Second Coming precedes it! To which we cry out: "MARANATHA! Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!"

Presence Matters Most! No Invisible People!

UNITY!
