Our Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, Redemption.

This past Sunday I preached a message titled "The Afterglow of Pentecost -- Sanctify Me". The passage of Scripture I began with is still on my mind. May it serve to bless you today with encouragement in the One Who is our Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption -- The One Called Wonderful, Jesus Christ.

(30) But from Him you are in Christ Jesus, who for us became wisdom from God, as well as righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, (31) in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.

We really do need God!

Holiness unto The LORD!

Justification & Sanctification

Justification means I am found in Christ.
Sanctification means Christ is found in me.

IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

Oneness With God Equals Rest That Ministers

My dear friend in Jesus, O.C., writes this commentary based on 1 Corinthians 1:30:

The broken and the jaded and the twisted are being ministered to by God through the saints who are not overcome by their own panic, who because of their oneness with Him are absolutely at rest; consequently He can work through them.

Do We Want God's Will?

1 Thessalonians 4:3 (NKJV) says, For this is the will of God, your sanctification...

God wants us to be One with Him -- Holy. Do we want what God wants?

Saturate in John 15

Yesterday I was saturating in John 15 and today I still am. Jesus, the True Vine, is this branch's (my) Life-Source. Apart from Him I can do nothing. Enough said.

Sanctification!

My soul-friend, O.C., said "Sancticifcation means being made one with Jesus. Sanctification is not something Jesus puts in me— it is Himself in me."

Consider 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (NIV) -- 30 It is because of God that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

Finally, let's listen together to the words that Jesus prayed to His Father as His High Priestly Prayer was concluding just hours before He went to the Cross to be crucified for us so that we might also be also crucified with Him.

John 17, verse 19, Jesus praying: For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. And then in verse 26, hear the final seven words of Jesus' prayer to the Father prayer concerning what He wanted for Himself and for us: ...that I myself may be in them.

Yes, oneness with us is what Jesus knows He wants and oneness with Him is what Jesus knows we need. So, sanctification surely means being freed from all Sin and made one with just Him... by faith. Do we believe it?

Do we want what He wants more than we want anything? Do we want what Jesus wants for Himself and for us? God the Son's prayer to God the Father still echoes endlessly: ...that I myself may be in them. Sanctification!
