Expect Persecutions, Anticipate Celebrations

It seems this week, the Lord has been whispering these words to my inner being: Expect persecutions, life is hard. Anticipate celebrations, harvest will come.

In other words, expect temporary troubles to come. But after that make no doubt about it, because eternal celebration will indeed happen as lost souls find their Way in Christ..

This verse has been encouraging me this week as well:
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
-- Psalm 30:5 (KJV)

And this verse of the holy hymn, Amazing Grace, convinces me to carry on until the celebration is realization:

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

Take Heart

After the recent political elections in the USA, I sense the Lord saying to me, "Now maybe my people will quit fretting about their presidential choices, yes, stop focusing on the White House and return their passions to Their King of Kings and renew the loyalties they should have had all along for My House."

The future of our human existence as believers and lovers of King Jesus will probably not get any "easier" in this seemingly hell-bent world, however our Lord has overcome the world. I expect the hard times will lead to new persecutions for us, but also to a plentiful Harvest of souls for our Lord's Kingdom. So, let it be so. It will be worth it all when we see Jesus.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
-- Words of King Jesus in John 16:33 (NLT)

Let's take heart as we anticipate an eternal harvest in our lifetimes. Then, we will see Jesus!

Feeling Weak and Helpless? REMIX

Not too long ago, I shared thoughts similar to the ones below, but this morning the same thoughts were very strong on my mind. So, enjoy the REMIX:

"As long as you feel your own weakness and helplessness, you will find help from above."
-- John Wesley

That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
-- The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NLT)
