What joys are discovered in these precious *paradoxes found in God's Holy Word:
(9b) ...dying, and yet we live on;
beaten, and yet not killed;
(10a) sorrowful, yet always rejoicing;
poor, yet making many rich;
having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
-- 2 Corinthians 6:9b-10a (NIV)
* Paradox = a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is likely true.

Stand Between the Dead And The Living
Aaron stood between the dead and the living, and the plague stopped. -- Numbers 16:48 (NLT)
Are we willing to take a stand today like Aaron did on that day?

What Kind of Lives Should We Be Living?
I awoke early this morning with this passage in my mind and on my heart:
(8) But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.
(9) The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent.
(10) But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgment.
(11) Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living! -- 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NLT)
ALL JOY TO YOUR WORLD!
Grateful

Land of the Living
Does anyone (other than saints and perhaps a few poets) ever realize how wonderful life is while they're living it? -- Paraphrase from the early 1900's Play entitled "Our Town"

(11) I said, "Never again will I see the LORD GOD while still in the land of the living. Never again will I see my friends or laugh with those who live in this world. (12) My life has been blown away like a shepherd’s tent in a storm. It has been cut short..."
-- Isaiah 38:11-12a (NLT)

Rest, O My Soul
(7) Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. (8) For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, (9) that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living. -- Psalm 116:7-9 (NIV)

Blush And Weep?
In my quiet time this morning, Psalm 119:36 from The Message Paraphrase of the Holy Bible struck a cord in my soul:
I cry rivers of tears because nobody’s living by your book!
I wonder if the main reason the world doesn't seem to blush over sin anymore, is that the people called by God's name don't seem to weep over sin anymore?
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.
Grateful
