(13) “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. (14) But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."
-- Words of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT)
Jesus, I believe that knowing You is the narrow gateway to Life. I don't want You to merely be a part of my life, or even the center of my life, or just first place in my life. I WANT YOU TO BE MY LIFE! Lord, be my Life or I will be lost. Amen.
Love God. Life Together. Light The World!

Through Suffering We Gain A Friendship.
Suffering is grand when the heart is right with God. Through suffering we gain a friendship with God. Oh, unspeakably blessed is the suffering of the sanctified.
-- Oswald Chambers
I want to know Christ and the power of His Resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings...

The Most Obvious Confession of a Witness
In my mind over the past week or so, Philippians 3, verse 10, has been coming and going and coming again. To me it is the most obvious confession of one who longs to be a true witness of Christ. Dare I say, it is perhaps the most honest desire and proof of one who is and/or longs to be a true disciple of Christ as well?
(10) I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, (11) and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. (12) Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. (13) Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (14) I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
-- Philippians 3:10-14 (NIV)

Which Way? The Way!
(13) "You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. (14) But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it."
-- Words of Warning from Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14 (NLT)
(3) "And this is the way to have eternal life—to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One You sent to earth."
-- Words Jesus Prayed to the Father in John 17:3 (NLT)
"I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me."
-- Jesus' Declaration in John 14:6 (NLT)
Knowing You, my Lord, is the Narrow but Sure Entrance to Life.

Do We Know The Way Home?
We have to come Home to Jesus before we can go Home with Jesus. -- James Spruill
"Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but by Me. -- Words of Jesus in John 14:1-6 (NRSV)
Lord, thank You for being our Way Home. Because there will be no sin in The Father's House, thanks for being our Way to find forgiveness for our sinful actions and cleansing of our Sinful attitudes. We can now know there's room for us There. We cannot adequately express our gratitude in knowing that the Way of Your Cross leads us to You and You lead us to our forever Home. Amen.
For God took the sinless Christ and poured into Him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God’s goodness into us! -- 2 Cor. 5:21 (TLB)

Knowing Christ -- The Priceless Gain
What do you want to gain more than anything?
I say "Amen" to Paul's Priceless Gain Goal, recorded in Philippians 1:8-9a (NLT):
(8) Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ (9) and become one with Him.
ALL JOY!
