Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know, to love what I ought to love, to
praise what delights You most, to value what is precious in Your sight, to hate
what is offensive to You. Amen.

If We Give Up On Christmas?
In the wake of these December school shooting in Connecticut, USA, some are asking if Christmas should just be cancelled? Should we turn off the decorative lights associated with these year-end Holy Days?
I say, "Please don't cancel Christmas. And please don't turn off the lights, because right now our dark world needs all of the light it can get."
If we give up on Christmas, we give up on Faith, Hope and Love.
And we will sadly give in to hate, violence, and darkness.
Father God, thanks for giving to us Your Son and for giving through Him Your Peace that is not of this world, but is for this world.

Hurt People?
Hurt people? Hurt people.
(7) Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get a smart retort. Anyone who rebukes the wicked will get hurt. (8) So don’t bother rebuking mockers; they will only hate you. But the wise, when rebuked, will love you all the more. -- Proverbs 9:7-8 (NLT)
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.
Grateful

A Love-Hate Relationship
The latest definition for holiness that has quickened my heart is: A Love-Hate Relationship -- A Love God and Hate Sin Relationship.
Psalm 97:10a (NLT) -- You who love the LORD, hate evil!
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

Loving Him And Loathing Sin!
When I really love God, I will at the same time loathe sin. Yes, when I love God with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength, I will at the same time hate everything that breaks my God's heart. The things that break my God's heart are the things that immediately threaten to break my life and ultimately threaten to separate me from my God for forever.
I think it's true to say that loving Him and loathing sin is one way to define holiness.
Lord I want my love for You to increase and my hatred for the things that break Your Holy Heart to increase simultaneously. Holiness is what I long for. In Jesus' name. Amen.
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

Forgiveness? The Key! The Power!
Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hate. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness. — Corrie ten Boom
Lord... forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us... Help us to show mercy to others that You in return might show mercy to us... And let us never forget that while Your love is unconditional, Your forgiveness is conditional, in that, unless we forgive others, You will not forgive us. Amen.
ALL JOY!
