Luke 6:46-48 (MSG) “Why are you so polite with me, always saying ‘Yes, sir,’ and
‘That’s right, sir,’ but never doing a thing I tell you? These words I speak to
you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard
of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on. “If you work the
words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the
foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed
against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just
use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a
dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen
river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total
loss.”

Access. No Longer Foreigners. Sanctuary.
(17) When Christ came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. (18) For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. (19) So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God's household, (20) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. (21) The whole building is being fitted together in Him and is growing into a holy sanctuary in the Lord, (22) in whom you also are being built together for God's dwelling in the Spirit.

The One Who Believes? Unshakable!
Therefore the Lord GOD said:
"Look, I have laid a stone in Zion,
a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
the one who believes will be unshakable."
-- Isaiah 28:16 (HCS)

"Lord, Lord!"
(46) “So why do you keep calling Me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? (47) I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to Me, listens to My teaching, and then follows it. (48) It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. (49) But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
-- Jesus' Words in Luke 6:46-50 (NLT)
(21) "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who do what my Father in Heaven wants will enter. (22) "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord! Lord! Didn't we prophesy in your name? Didn't we drive out demons in your name? Didn't we do many miracles in your name?' (23) Then I will tell them clearly, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who do evil!' -- Jesus' Words in Matthew 7:21-23 (NIRV)

Wishes or Hopes?
Lord, empty me of my wishes for the future and fill me with Your hopes. I have come to believe that my human wishes are too often founded on my human fears, while Your holy hopes rest firmly on the foundation of Your holy promises.

...We Will Never Pray.
If we wait until we know how to pray, to pray, we will never pray.
Lord, teach me TO PRAY! Lord, when I pray let my prayers be personal, intimate, and effective, not powerless, imitations, and ineffective. When I pray, let my foundation be a right relationship with You. In the Name of Jesus. Amen
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results. -- James 5:16b (NLT)

Wholly His
The most passionate desire of God's heart of hearts is not to see us as holy heroes -- doing everything for Him, but as wholly His --being everything to Him.
Isaiah 43:1 (NLT) -- ...the LORD who created you says: "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are Mine."
2 Timothy 2:19 (NLT) -- But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are His," and "Those who claim they belong to the Lord must turn away from all wickedness."
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

The Lord Hears. The Lord Knows.
If you belong to the Lord, I invite you to inhale within the depths of your soul and embrace with all of your life these two verses:
* Psalm 34:17 (NLT)
"The LORD hears His people when they call to Him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles."
* 2 Timothy 2:19 (NLT)
"But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: 'The Lord knows those who are His,' and 'Those who claim they belong to the Lord must turn away from all wickedness.'"
Together, let's pray and obey Psalm 34:17 and 2 Timothy 2:19. The keyword for me in both verses is the word HIS.
And let us never forget that Our Lord Hears and Our Lord Knows.
ALL JOY!
