"Our World Needs Moral Leaders & Pure Lives"

As I listened to our District Superintendent, Dr. Fuller, give his report at our District Advisory Board Meeting, he spoke of attending an Hispanic Youth Campmeeting and hearing the speaker from the Country of Columbia challenge the young people in attendance to be leaders of morality in the United States. "Your country needs you to live pure lives," he proclaimed.

What a true and staggering appeal. If our country and our world needs anything, surely "moral leaders" are needed. In fact, let us confess that we are beyond the desperate point on this issue. Yes, we really need genuine believers who are deeply devoted to our Holy God and ready to allow The Holy Spirit to make them wholly His.

Please pray with me that the Lord will begin a revival of raising up "pure lives" to be sanctuaries of The Living God across all generations, but especially in the generation of young souls. Pray that the Lord will make all of us and many, many others hungry for Him and His Holiness.

1 Timothy 4:12 (GWT) Don’t let anyone look down on you for being young. Instead, make your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity an example for other believers.

Holiness Unto the LORD!

All Nations and All Generations

Today, Sunday, I was blessed to preach for a worship service in Nazareth, Israel. In attendance, there were about 250 total -- Christian Arabs, Christians from Germany and France, a Messianic Jew, and yes, Christian Americans as well. It was a preview of Heaven for my soul.

The passage of Scripture that I focused on most throughout the message was from Joel's prophecy. Of course this verse was also used by The Apostle Peter when he preached at Pentecost (Acts 2:21) and is written down as well by The Apostle Paul again in Romans 10:13.

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved...
-- Joel 2:32a (NLT)

Yes, here's Good News:
Jesus died to save people from all nations and from all generations.

The Living, The Dying

A few years back as I was living a local rest home after visiting a 90-year-old widower, it seemed the Lord whispered these words deep within me:

You only love the living as much as you care for the dying.

Today, perhaps the Lord will remind us to pray for and even to contact someone who is specifically nearing the end of their lives. Let's express the Lord's compassion to all  generations, yes to the young and the aged, the living and the dying with the His holy passion to rescue the perishing in all generations.

Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
-- Ephesians 3:21 (NLT)
