Absent from the Body=Present with the Lord

(7) For we live by believing and not by seeing. (8) Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.
-- 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 (NLT)

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! -- Revelation 22:20b (NIV)

Soon-Coming Jesus! Right-Now Readiness!

The Happy Goodman Family used to sing a Gospel song that said: What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again!

One of my life verses contains five words spoken by my soon-coming Lord Jesus, followed by four echoing words spoken by John the Revelator. Those four echoing words of John's, very often cry aloud to my soon-coming Lord Jesus from the depths of my desperate-to-see-Him soul:

“Yes, I am coming soon.” -- Five Words of Jesus

"Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." -- Four Words of John

-- Revelation 22:20 (NIV)

Finally, Crystal Lewis sings a song of urgency that reminds (those who know God) and warns (those who do not know God). The title of the song is People get ready! Jesus is coming!

If you sense you are not ready, please come to Jesus. Turning from sin and turning to Him, He will exchange your sentence of death for His gift of eternal life.
Our soon-coming Jesus is our right-now Readiness!

Jesus Says, "Come!"

Consider these five instances when John the Beloved Disciple recorded Jesus saying, "Come!"

(1) I have come... John 10:10 (NIV)
(2) I will come... John 14:3 (NIV)
(3) Come to me... John 7:37 (NIV)
(4) You refuse to come... John 5:40 (NIV)
(5) You cannot come... John 8:21 (NIV)

The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved.
-- Jeremiah 8:20 (NIV)

Lord, before it's too late, I fervently pray these words over eternal souls: No more missed opportunities! We want to be able to echo John's words in Revelation 22:20: "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." In the name of Jesus. Amen.

IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.

Ready?

In Revelation 22:20, John indicates that he is ready for Christ's return when he says: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Let's all be ready. Amen.

IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.
