"Freed from our Sin"

Thanks, today, to my sister-in-Christ, Amanda, for sharing this passage of Scripture with me:

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you. You were like lost sheep. Now you have come back to the shepherd and bishop of your lives. (1 Peter 2:24, 25 GWT)

Don't You Realize God's Kindness?

A young disciple in our local church, Amanda, sent me this verse of Scripture yesterday saying it was God's Word for her day:

Do you have contempt for God (Lack of respect for God), who is very kind to you, puts up with you, and deals patiently with you? Don’t you realize that it is God’s kindness that is trying to lead you to Him and change the way you think and act?
-- Romans 2:4 (GWT)

A good Word from God's Word not just for young disciples, but all disciples.
