i wept publicly, nevertheless, unashamedly, today, as i read aloud 1 Samuel 24:1-22 and then from 2 Samuel 9:1-13 to our #HeartsAflame #DiscipleshipJourneys’ group at EnGedi — “the rocks of the wild goats” — the cliffs along the Dead Sea where David hid from King Saul. David’s loving-kindness expressed for even King Saul, who wanted to kill him, but especially for Jonathan and later Jonathan’s crippled son, Mephiboshet, moved me as deeply as i have ever been moved. Just sayin’…. i am so Grateful for the kindness of the Lord’s Presence in my life.
