The Gift of Encouragement

When asked what I believe my primary spiritual gift is, I almost always answer: "That would most probably be the gift of encouragement." I have easily come to this vulnerable conclusion because I often deal quite personally with seasons of discouragement.

Makes sense, don't you think, that the gift I most often give to others is the gift I also most often hope others will give back to me?

In my estimation, next to the ever-abiding Presence of The Holy Spirit within us, the gifts of encouragement we offer to one another undeniably help to fuel our eternal souls to persevere to the end.
