The noblest revenge is to forgive.
-- Thomas Fuller
The sweetest words He ever said were "I forgive".
-- Joel Hemphill
“The Spirit of the Lord is with Me. He has anointed Me to tell the Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to announce forgiveness to the prisoners of sin and the restoring of sight to the blind, to forgive those who have been shattered by sin, to announce the year of the Lord’s favor.”
-- Jesus of Nazareth Spoken in Nazareth, Luke 4:18-19 (GWT)
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.”
-- Words of Jesus While On The Cross, Luke 23:34a (GWT)

...To Heal the Brokenhearted...
These wonderful words are on my heart today, yes these wonderful words echoed from Isaiah 61:1-2 by Jesus as He stood in the synagogue in His hometown of Nazareth:
Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV)
(18) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
(19) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NKJV)
(1) "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
(2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
(3) To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
IF MY PEOPLE... WILL? I WILL! God's Promise in 2 Chron. 7:14.
