The Longfellow Lighthouse Poem

Yesterday, I visited the hometown of American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Portland, Maine and the lighthouse he wrote about, Portland Head Lighthouse. 

I am not surprised that a lighthouse inspired even poet. Lighthouses surely inspire this son of a fisherman turned pastor.
