There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love.
-- Washington Irving
Jesus wept.
-- John 11:35 (KJV)
Grateful
I think most of society believes that crying is a form of weakness.
ReplyDeleteWe have been conditioned over time that tears are a disgrace, that we should somehow be ashamed because of our tears.
I have learned to allow myself to cry.I am no longer ashamed of my tears. Crying is a part of being human and it's okay.
Thanks for tears, Lord -- Yours and ours.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Jesus wept. You can see his heart reflected in the teardrops.
ReplyDeleteI believe that God uses our tears to wash away all of the pain from the insides of our hearts-so that He can renew us and rebuild us....more in His image....
ReplyDeleteWOW... your comments inspire my soul. Thanks for your time on my blog. RomansTenFifteen indeed.
