Subsitute For Joy?

Entertainment is the devil's substitute for joy.

    This makes me think of the root word of "amusement", which is a synonym for entertainment.
    "ment" - the act or state of being"
    "muse" - meditation, think deeply
    "a" - without, not

    So I guess saying "I am not amused" is a good thing :)
